Enjoying A Riviera Early Summer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, I think it\u2019s fair to say we deserved the wonderful weather we enjoyed in May. <\/p>\n

\"Torquay<\/p>\n

After the often soggy winter months, the May Day bank holiday was an absolute belter, with the sun beating down on the English Riviera and showing off the area to its best. Thoroughly delightful. That was then followed by a really dry spell throughout the month, culminating in a superb Whitsun Week. <\/p>\n

\"Enjoying<\/p>\n

The threats of heavy rain and thunderstorms completely missed us and we had many guests enjoying a few drinks on our Garden Terrace. Days out of the on the beach or taking a trip on the award winning \u2018Round Robin\u2019 seemed especially popular ways to spend some time. The latter is wonderful way to explore South Devon, involving steam train, river boat and bus. More details are below \u2013 recommended!<\/p>\n

Lazier Leisure<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you\u2019re not out exploring and enjoying the local area, there\u2019s also our nicely secluded garden at The Somerville to sit in and enjoy at your leisure. It\u2019s a great asset of which we are rather proud \u2013 and it\u2019s now starting to come out in bloom properly. The hanging baskets, beddings plants and roses \u2013 of which we have a good, large selection \u2013 are all looking.<\/p>\n

\"Enjoy<\/p>\n

Hot Choices<\/strong><\/p>\n

It may be warmer weather, but we\u2019ve introduced a monthly special to our hot choices on our breakfast menu \u2013 and we\u2019ve very pleased with how well they\u2019ve been going. The biggest surprise so far was the toasted muffin with smashed avocado, topped with poached eggs and gratinated with Parmesan cheese. <\/p>\n

Of course, some meat eaters will be saying \u201cit\u2019s vegetarian\u201d as if that\u2019s something wrong, but whatever the ingredients, it is truly delicious! Now, what shall we do for June \u2026 <\/p>\n
