With Spring just about upon us, we have taken the opportunity of the quieter early-year months to refurbish Room 9, one of our three deluxe rooms.
Say it ourselves, we are pleased with the results! As we hope the pictures, below, demonstrate, we’ve kept our hotel Art Deco ‘theme’, not least in our gold wallpaper. There’s some rather cool lighting that, we think, sets it all off very well – and the bathroom is a pleasure!
To celebrate the new look, we are offering guests a two-night stay in this new deluxe room for just £150 for any two weekday nights throughout March and April. And, of course, the price includes Helen’s Gold Award Winning breakfast
Don’t forget, BOOKING DIRECT with us will always ensure you the best price, so to book this room at this offer rate – or, indeed, any other room – do give us a call on 01803 294 755. As British Telecom said all those years ago in their advertising: “it’s good to talk“.
Talking of breakfasts, Helen now makes all her own yoghurts, and that means you can be sure they are free of any artificial sweeteners, which seem all too common in supermarket yoghurts nowadays. She’s also started using chia seeds in a breakfast dessert – which seems to be very much ‘the thing’ with the health conscious!
(Just in case you don’t know, chia seeds are from a mint-like plant from Latin America. They are full of Omega 3 which they say is very good for you. You could always follow it with a full English if that’s more in line with your idea of the holiday spirit!)
Rooms and Food Aside …
It’s nice to see the tourist attractions are opening up again after the winter. The Dartmouth steam train is running four days a week to Kingswear and the Brixham ferry starts running on Good Friday. As I write, the Riviera Big Wheel in en route to its summer home in Torquay. The south coast is a pleasure all year, but it has to be said it comes in to its own in spring, summer and autumn. Do come and visit and make the most of it!
Bye for now – Peter and Helen
